My music is about the story of the prophet Jonah.
It is one of the short stories in the Bible.
He resisted God's instruction.

This album is the first part of my project
and ends where Jonah came ashore.
The second part of the story follows,
and will appear under the title "NO TIME WAS LOST".

I experienced some parallels in my life.
So I was able to experience God's grace through Jesus Christ.

Rainer “Otarion” Klein

... It's never easy to explain Otarion's music.
Especially since the German musician undertook a surprising turn towards symphonic
and electronic hard rock with his album Decide in 2017.
His music remains dark and theatrical with a progression in each story
that brings us to a huge crescendo of emotions.
Following the eagerness of Extensive, PRAYER FROM THE DEEP tells the story
of the prophet Jonah who resisted to God's orders. ....

... Rainer Klein, der als Otarion firmiert, entwickelt sich von Album zu Album kontinuierlich weiter.
Hat er als reiner Elektronikmusiker begonnen, so sind seine aktuellen Alben aus einer Mischung
von Elektronik- und Rockmusik aufgebaut.
Dabei haben auf dem aktuellen Album „Prayer From The Deep“
neben Progressive Rock auch Postrock-Elemente den Weg in seine Musik gefunden.
Eine sehr gelungene Mischung, die Rainer da zusammengebraut hat. Klasse Album.

.... Er kreiert seinen eigenen Sound und hat sich auch stilistisch weiter entwickelt.
Dies gilt insbesondere für „Prayer from the Deep“, denn hier ist er den bereits
auf dem Vorgänger eingeschlagenen Weg konsequent weitergegangen.
Und nicht umsonst wird man den Begriff Elektronische Musik oder Ambient
oder Berliner Schule diesmal auf der Cover Rückseite nicht finden,
denn dort heißt es nun: File under Progressive Rock.
Wobei der Begriff Post Rock sicherlich auch in diesem Zusammenhang fallen sollte ....
